READ ACROSS AMERICA: The National Education Association's (NEA) Read Across America is designed to encourage children to pick up a book and read. Launched in 1998, and now in it's 14th year, the nationwide reading celebration takes place each year on March 2nd, Dr. Suess' birthday. NEA's Read Across America has become the largest celebration of reading and focuses the country's attention on the importance of motivating and helping children to read and master crucial skills. If you would like to join us as a volunteer on Friday March 2, 2012, please contact the school office at 844-2208 and ask for our Librarian Caitlin Amy. We hope to see you there.
