Meet Our Trustees

Eleven years ago, I made a decision to abandon my high stress, big city corporate job and return to Montana for a simpler lifestyle. Luckily, my wife Michelle and our first child, Zach decided to come along. Actually, the decision to return to Montana was made easier by asking one simple question, “What would be best for our children?”  The answer to that question was easy.

            I now have two children, Christopher, who attends Lakeside Elementary and Zach who attends Somers Middle School. Over the years I’ve watched our District grow and change, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. When asked to run for a position on the School Board, I decided that it would be best for our children if I served. Once elected to the Board, I realized that I had just adopted over 500 children that were counting on me to make sound decisions regarding their future.

            When not attending Board meetings, you can find me working for West Venture Properties, LLC as a real estate agent. You’ll also see me watching or coaching my children in sports, skiing with my family at Blacktail or out in the field hunting. If you do see me at work or play, come up and say “hi.”  I’m always open to discussing issues regarding our children.

My wife, Juliane, and I and our three children have lived in the Flathead Valley all of our lives.  We moved to the Lower Valley area in 2004.  Currently, we have one child attending Somers Middle School and two at Flathead High School.  They are the sixth generation to attend Flathead Valley schools. 

I very much enjoy the time spent with my family, whether it be hunting, fishing, or just quiet time spent talking and sharing thoughts.  I am president of our family business.  I am also involved in many organizations in the Flathead Valley.

I am serving on the School District #29 Board because I am a firm believer that our children are the greatest asset for our future.  I enjoy the closeness of the small community of the Somers Lakeside School District.

I look forward to involvement with teachers, parents, and community to ensure our children's continued quality of education.

 Tim Rogge

  

I have lived in the Somers/Lakeside area for most of my life.  I went to Somers School through the 8th grade, and then graduated from Flathead High School.  I attended Montana State University and earned a degree in Construction Engineering Technology.  I have been a building contractor in the Flathead Valley for 13 years.

 

I currently live near Lakeside with my wife and two daughters.  We enjoy many of the outdoor recreational opportunities available in our area.  We spend our summers sailing, fishing and playing in and around Flathead Lake, and our winters skiing and playing on Blacktail Mountain.   During the fall and spring, we are often on soccer fields and in horse barns or out hunting. 

 

I’m glad to be able to serve my community by being on the school board.  I hope that by giving time and energy, I can help maintain and improve the quality of education for the area children.

     My family and I moved from the Philadelphia area to Lakeside 8 years ago.  We have greatly enjoyed everything the community has to offer.

     I have 4 children, my daughter attends Flathead High School and my sons are in the Somers School District.  I greatly enjoy being with my family and a passion of mine is reading.  I have  been lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mom for the past 11 years and look forward to returning to college this fall.

     I am happy to serve on our school board and hope that by participating to my fullest capacity I can help maintain and improve our district for all the children attending.

I moved to Somers 37 years ago.  I have been involved in the community of Somers/Lakeside as a Chamber member and officer, 20 years as a 4-H leader (Lakeview Livestock) and currently operate a business in Somers (Vista Linda).
 
I have four grown children three of whom graduated from Somers School.  I have employed many Somers/Lakeside youth in my business and believe that a good basic foundation in education is essential.  It enables our youth to excel and succeed later in life.  I believe that parental involvement is essential for students.
