Kindergarten–4th Grade Cross Country Coach
Somers School District is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cross Country Coach for our Kindergarten–4th grade program this spring.
This is a great opportunity to positively impact young students by promoting teamwork, perseverance, and a love of fitness in a fun and supportive environment.
Season: First week of April through mid-May
Practices: Monday–Friday, 4:00–5:30 PM
Meets: Approximately 5 meets during the season
Stipend: $600
Responsibilities Include:
Planning and leading daily practices
Teaching fundamental running skills and sportsmanship
Supervising students during practices and meets
Communicating effectively with parents and school staff
Creating a positive, encouraging team culture
Coaching experience is preferred but not required. Energy, organization, and a commitment to supporting elementary students are essential.
