School Report Cards issued by the state of Montana show academic success for Somers and Lakeside. 58% of Lakeside students tested proficient in Mathematics while 44% tested proficient at the middle school. 24% of students across Montana demonstrated proficiency in Math.
In Language Arts 49% of Lakeside students tested proficient and 63% of Somers Middle School students demonstrated proficiency. Statewide 46% of Montana students scored proficient in Language Arts.
One area of concern for our local schools is attendance. Across the state of Montana 47% of students were present for at least 95% of school days. At Lakeside 29% of students had 95% or better attendance. 24% of Somers Middle School students were present for 95% of school days.
