Safe Return to Schools and Continuity of Services Plan
Update, June 2022
At this point both Somers Middle School and Lakeside Elementary School are fully open and operating very close to pre-Covid status.
We have lifted restrictions on field trips and group sizes. We have begun hosting public events in the buildings again.
Personal protective equipment is available for those who wish to wear a mask or face shield.
We are still following good hygiene rules including:
● Regular handwashing
● Teaching respiratory etiquette
● Utilizing hand sanitizer
● Enhanced cleaning/disinfection of surfaces
● Parents screen for symptoms before children come to school
We have also added regular, voluntary Covid testing for staff.
